Testing
ACTS has a custom built state-of-the-art offline pressure equipment testing and calibrating facility for testing PSVs / PRVs.
The Safety/Relief Valve Test Bench can be used for testing, setting and adjusting pressure relief/safety valves at pressures up to 4,350psi(300bar) at sizes up to 15” using both water and air as the test medium. The valves are sealed using a hydraulic clamping mechanism and is fitted to a laser bubble counter for checking the PSV seat tightness.
Providing industry leading testing capabilities, with a range of in-service and compliant NDE and testing methods, ACTS maintains a strong focus on planning, timing and execution.
Testing Services include:
- Pressure Testing - Hydro & Pneumatic.
- Valve Testing
- NDT
- Pressure Instrument Testing

Calibration
Pressure Safety Valves (PSVs) play a critical role in protecting pressure equipment, pipelines, and personnel from overpressure incidents. Regular calibration is essential to ensure these valves function correctly when needed.
Accuracy & Reliability: Over time, PSVs can drift from their set pressure limits. Calibration ensures they open at the correct pressure, preventing failures.
Regulatory Compliance: Industry standards mandate periodic testing and calibration to maintain workplace safety and meet legal requirements.
Preventing Costly Downtime: A well-calibrated PSV helps avoid unplanned shutdowns and expensive repairs due to equipment failure.
Enhanced Safety: Properly calibrated valves ensure that overpressure events are managed effectively.
We provide precise PSV calibration to keep your systems compliant, efficient, and most importantly - safe.
Calibrations performed include:
- Offline Calibration of PSV/PRV with Certification
- Pressure Gauge Calibration & Certification
Sales & Service
We are proud to offer our sales and service of PSV/PRV/Valves from trusted and quality brands sourced from around the world.
We can help you find the right type of valve and test & certify it to comply with AS1271 standard.
PRV / PSV: The difference between them is that PSVs have a manual lever to activate the valve in case of emergency, while most PRVs are spring operated. At lower pressures, some use a diaphragm in place of a spring. The oldest PRV designs use a weight to seal the valve.
Whatever your requirement, we are 100% committed to source and supply the right valve as per your needs.
ACTS has successfully sourced, tested and supplied valves to our clients in the mining industry.
Sales & Service offered for:
- PRV & PSV
- Pilot Operated Safety Valve
- Vacuum Pressure Safety Valve
- Pressure Vacuum Release Valve
- Low Pressure Safety Valve
- Temperature Control Valve
