About the Role

ACTS is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our growing Perth Engineering and Inspection Team to conduct Engineering inspections throughout Western Australia. You will ideally have experience in a similar role. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a young company and play an important role in our growth journey.

The role is FIFO (rostered or based on a particular job) and throughout Perth and surrounds and will be based out of our High Wycombe office on a Mon - Fri + overtime basis.

Role Accountabilities

  • Perform engineering inspections, testing and audits using specialist inspection and testing equipment on registered plant (previously classified plant) and equipment.
  • Produce high quality engineering reports tailored to client requirements.
  • Use knowledge and skills, from qualifications and experience, to assess compliance in accordance with relevant WA legislation and Standards.
  • Provide technical support and advice related to compliance matters to clients.
  • Work with Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety and Worksafe on client’s registered plant assets.

Essential Criteria

  • Applicants must possess the following:
  • Mechanical Engineering Degree and suitable engineering experience in the fields of mechanical, asset integrity and structural areas.
  • API510 or AICIP Pressure equipment inspection qualifications and relevant experience in the inspections space.
  • Good understanding of all relevant Australian Standards applicable to the Plant Inspection role in Western Australia.
  • Attention to detail, report writing skills, self-motivated to comply with client reporting timelines.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Current WA drivers’ licence.
  • Australian work rights.

Desirable Criteria

  • AINDT/ PCN/ ISO 9712 NDT qualifications/API 653.
